Our Story

Holdsworth Hammer & Heart Foundation was created from a place of love, loss and a deep belief in the power of community.

Founded by Anthony’s family in his memory, Hammer & Heart exists to turn compassion into action, supporting individuals and families facing hardship, crisis and life changing challenges. 

After losing Anthony, our world felt as though it had stopped spinning. Everything changed in an instant. Time seemed to stand still, even as life around us continued moving forward.

In those moments, we learned that while your world may pause, the rest of the world does not. You still have to get up each day. You still have to show up for your family, for your friends, for your responsibilities and most importantly for yourself even when your heart feels heavy.

We found ourselves learning how to be strong for one another at the hardest time of our lives.

And through it all, one thought guided us: this is what Anthony would have wanted.

He would have wanted us to keep going.
To keep working hard.
To keep chasing our goals and dreams.
To keep living fully, bravely and with gratitude.
Anthony believed that life was great and he wanted everyone he loved to keep living for him, even though he had been dealt the most devastating of cards.

That is how he lived his life with determination, generosity and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved.

We carry that forward now for Anthony.

Hammer & Heart was created as a way for us to honour Anthony by continuing his legacy of showing up for others. It began as small acts of community support and grew into a foundation built on empathy, integrity and genuine care.

As a family, we remain deeply involved in every part of this journey;
We lead with intention;
We listen with compassion;
We give with purpose.

For us, Hammer & Heart is more than a charity.

It is a promise to live in a way that reflects Anthony’s values.

A promise to turn love into action.
